Privacy policy
This policy explains how VAYDO handles personal data when you create an account, ask for a verdict or use the service.
Effective 19 September 2026
1. Who is responsible
VAYDO is operated by Kais Ghanem, who is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent to privacy@vaydo.ie.
2. Data VAYDO processes
- Account data: your email address, account identifier, authentication details managed by the authentication service, and any profile name supplied through a sign-in provider.
- Decision data: your question, category, comparison options, follow-up answers, generated verdict and reasoning, confidence, score, outcome and feedback.
- Preferences: preference labels and values inferred from past decisions. You can remove these individually from the You page.
- Usage data: the number of AI requests made by your account each day so VAYDO can apply its daily limit.
- Operational data: limited error and service-health events, such as an event type, time, page, short error code and cleaned technical detail. Monitoring is designed not to receive decision text.
3. Why VAYDO uses it
VAYDO processes personal data to:
- create and secure your account and provide password recovery;
- generate questions, verdicts, comparisons and What If results;
- save your private History and account preferences;
- apply the 40-request daily AI limit and prevent abuse;
- diagnose failures, protect the service and maintain reliability; and
- respond to support, privacy and legal requests.
These activities are carried out to perform the service you request, pursue legitimate interests in security and reliability, comply with legal obligations, and, where the law requires it, on the basis of consent.
4. AI and service providers
VAYDO sends the decision information needed to generate a result through its AI service infrastructure. Account authentication, password recovery and private data storage are handled by VAYDO's hosted service providers. Google or Apple also process information under their own privacy terms if you choose one of those sign-in options.
Providers are used only where needed to operate, secure and support VAYDO. The current implementation does not send personal data to advertising services and does not include advertising trackers or behavioural advertising analytics.
5. Private access and security
Decisions, History, preferences and daily usage records are separated by account access controls. Other users cannot read your private records through the service. Administrative access to operational monitoring is restricted.
Monitoring detail is cleaned and limited before storage. Passwords, authentication tokens, API keys and private decision text are not intended to be recorded in monitoring events. No internet service can promise absolute security, so use a strong, unique password and do not submit information you do not want processed to produce a verdict.
6. Cookies and local storage
VAYDO and its authentication infrastructure may use cookies or browser storage that are necessary to keep you signed in, protect your session and provide the service. VAYDO does not currently use these technologies for advertising tracking.
7. Retention and deletion
Account and decision records are kept while your account remains active so that History and saved results remain available. Daily usage and limited operational records are kept for service operation and security. Retention may also be required to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or prevent abuse.
You can remove individual learned preferences on the You page. To request deletion of your account and associated personal data, email privacy@vaydo.ie. VAYDO may need to verify that the request comes from the account owner.
8. International processing
Service providers may process data outside Ireland or the European Economic Area. Any such processing must be handled in accordance with applicable data-protection law.
9. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a copy of your personal data, or object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. These rights can be subject to legal limits.
Send requests to privacy@vaydo.ie. You may also lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission or the supervisory authority where you live or work.
10. Adults only
VAYDO is intended for people aged 18 or older. It is not directed to children, and VAYDO does not knowingly offer accounts to anyone under 18.
11. Changes and contact
This policy may be updated when VAYDO's service or legal obligations change. Material changes will be communicated through the service or another appropriate channel. Questions can be sent to privacy@vaydo.ie.
